Robot Dolphins at Las Vegas

The Robot Dolphins ranked 20th among some of the best teams in the world at the Las Vegas Regional. They were selected for the 5th seed alliance with Team 649 M-SET Fish and Team 842 Falcon Robotics. After many challenging matches, they were able to rank 3rd overall.

Robot Dolphins at San Diego

After ending the qualification matches in 47th place, the Robot Dolphins were selected for the 8th seed alliance with Team 3128 The Aluminum Narwhals from San Diego and Team 2637 The Phantom Cats from Palos Verdes Peninsula. They successfully defeated their opponents and placed 2nd overall.

Bag Day Celebration at Bistro K in Laguna Niguel on Saturday, Feb. 25th 6 PM

To celebrate the Bagging of the Robot and to pay tribute to our sponsors, parents and team members, we will be meeting at Bistro K for a well deserved Bag Day Celebration. A percentage of all food proceeds will be donated to the team for much needed travel expenses to the Regional competitions in Del Mar and Las Vegas. Come and support the team!


Gene Haas Foundation grants Robot Dolphins 2nd largest gift of $5000

Robot Dolphins receive their 2nd largest donation of $5000 from the Gene Haas Foundation for the commitment of the team to educate future scientists in the areas of automation and design.

Robot Dolphins receive $3500 grant from Boeing for FRC registration fees

Robot Dolphins from Outer Space, Team 5199, from Dana Hills High School received $3500 registration fee grant from one of premier sponsors, The Boeing Company. Boeing is the worlds largest aerospace company and leading manufacturer of commercial jet liners and defense, space and security systems. The Boeing grant is created to support mentor hours donated to teams who are committed to the goals of First Robotics and support community outreach programs.

Robot Dolphins receive the 2016 Outstanding Volunteer Award recognized by the One OC Spirit of Volunteerism Awards

Congratulations to the Robot Dolphin members for their hundreds of hours of service to the Boys and Girls Club of Capistrano Valley for teaching Robotics though Lego Build Kits every Wednesday afternoon.

Every parent wants their kids to appreciate that to those whom much is given, much is expected in terms of giving back.

Robot Dolphins thank Western Digital for 3 years of corporate sponsorship

Robot Dolphins were presented with a sponsorhip check from Western Digital after demontrating their robot to Western Digital employees. This is the 3rd consecutive year of Western Digital’s commitment to the Dana Hills Robotics team. The team was presented with a check and a VIP tour of the Western Digital corporate Headquarters office in Irvine. Thank you to Keri Hoagland, Finance Director at Western Digital, who organized the event.
